Jornada 7xx Software

For those that don’t know, the Jornada 7xx is a handheld pda using Windows CE - its operating system is also called Handheld PC 2000 - HPC2000. I have bought one about two years ago and have been using it as a primary pda ever since. It’s got a CF slot, PCMCIA, keyboard, a 640×240 resolution touch screen, 32 / 64 MB of RAM (depending on version), 32 MB ROM, 3.5 stereo audio output plus, the icing on the cake, a 12+ hours battery life (with the extended battery).

Anyway, because as most older PDAs it stores data in RAM it can be lost through a hard reset (all batteries are dead or removed) - this happened to me a few months ago. I’ve started rebuilding its software and also saving the links and name of programs - maybe this will benefit others as well.

first install the demo cab from access netfront’s website, then just overwrite the files with my files from the zip and you’re ready to go

exe does not work after - activeSync probably misidentified the 720 as a Pocket PC rather than an H/PC 2000 device. (This is a bug in some 720s. There’s a patch for this - the patch should be at handheld attitude
